Welcome to the visitor center where one can find the introduction to the history of the significant landmark in American history. The gift shop and brochure information are located in the lobby of the center. Visitors can enjoy the museum gallery in addition to the theater, which shows the 17 minute film, “Dawn of Peace”. The Everett-Thissen Research Library is also located in the visitor center, which houses more than 1,000 volumes of Civil War era related topics.
Restroom facilities are also located in the visitor center.
